Runamocha
We run on MONDAY, and THURSDAY 10 AM-12 NOON.
Kia ora,
It’s been a long time since we have seen each other due to lockdown. We hope you and your families have had a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. I apologise for the delay in communication. These have been challenging times with many changes over the last few months. We have just been waiting for confirmation of when school starts and instructions from the Ministry of Education.
These are the current Early Learning Bulletin conditions that state which playgroups can operate under the Covid19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System):
“At all settings of the COVID-19 Protection Framework, certified playgroups are considered close-proximity services and must follow these instructions:
- if operating with Vaccine Passes, they can open at Green, Orange and Red settings
- if operating without Vaccine Passes, they cannot open at Orange or Red settings
- if operating at the Green setting without Vaccine Passes, they follow close proximity services requirements
- if operating on sites that are under the Vaccine Mandate (for example on school sites), they must ensure all adults are vaccinated and a vaccine register is kept.
The same public health measures remain in place for all settings:
- good hygiene and cleaning
- contact tracing systems
- if you are sick, you must stay home and get tested
- good ventilation.”
When Auckland moves into the Red setting on 3 December, certified playgroups can only open with Vaccine Passes – so all adults present during playgroup sessions must be double vaccinated.”
It has been decided that this building will operate without Vaccine Passes which means that Runamocha will not be able to run until green.
With that in mind I encourage you to stay in touch with each other and stay safe.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me (Sandra- 021 2814 508).
We look forward to reopening and seeing you soon.
Kind regards,
Sandra and Colleen.
Come and join our playgroup where your child will have a fun, safe and educational experience, while you have the opportunity to socialise and connect with other parents over a nice hot drink. We run on MONDAY, and THURSDAY 10 AM-12 NOON.
Our playgroup welcomes all parents with children under 5 years to participate in our group. We aim to provide a place for parents and young children to meet on a regular basis. Our playgroup is parent-led and aims to provide a range of educational activities to foster children’s learning and development consistent with NZ ECE curriculum – Te Whariki.
How the playgroup is run: Our playgroup is a parent run organisation and as such we encourage parents and caregivers to participate in their child’s skill development.
Parents and caregivers are responsible for the organisation of sessions – setting up activities, supervising children, tidying up at the end of the sessions etc.
Volunteer supervisors oversee the general running of groups and assist with session organisation. The playgroup Committee, comprised of volunteer parents, manage the playgroup on an administrative level.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the running of playgroup by being an active member during sessions, volunteering as a supervisor, and/or joining the Committee.
